The Department of Engineering has a long history of working with regional, national and international industry. Supporting industry is a key element of our mission. Collaboration can range from student projects and placements to major, long term research programmes.

We have recently established the Engineering Innovation Institute to co-ordinate the business-facing services of the Department, such as the Design Enterprise Centre and MediCETour Medical Engineering consultancy.
